The first story ever told was Gilgamesh, a mesopotamian aristocrat with inner conflicts on the road. but this story is the greatest: a man defeats power and violence against him, and even death. Perhaps we are still trapped in the domain of individual results. We crave ultimate, defiinitive accomplishment for ourswelves. We need recognition and satisfaction and we seek time and space to survive physically long enough to benefit individually from our victories. If that is the battle, what’s the story?
